Increased Police presence for Memorial Day Weekend
The California City Police Department will have an increased presence this holiday weekend. The police department has 4 new officers to help fill several vacancies. These new officers started their training over the past few months. State Traffic Officers (CHP) will be joining California City Police Officers this weekend to help keep the community safe.
As of 4:00 PM Friday afternoon, 21 arrests have been made over the past 72 hours. Teams from the Volunteers in Police Service will be patrolling in local neighborhoods to keep an eye for suspicious activity.
Off Road Desert Incident Response Team volunteers will be patrolling the desert to monitor visitors on the last weekend of the off-roaring season.
