Officers took several students from Santa Clara, Wilcox, New Valley and Wilson High Schools fishing yesterday in the San Francisco Bay. The trip was sponsored by the Santa Clara Police Activities League (P.A.L.).
This experience between the kids and police officers is unique! It includes teaching the life skill of fishing, interaction throughout the day on issues faced by teens in their home and school environments as well as gaining a healthy respect for the environment and the Bay. An added bonus - the waters were calm, the views were amazing and the teens caught lots of fish!
