Grandmother Arrested For Negligence After 3 Year Old Wandered Unsupervised In The Streets. SHERIFF VICTOR HILL

Earlier today, Clayton County Police and the Sheriff’s Office responded when a caller found a 3 year old female child wandering in the middle of the street of an apartment complex.   Officers and Deputies knocked on doors for hours trying to identify who the child was and who were her parents or guardians.   After no success, a Nixle alert was sent out to the community and within 20 minutes the child was identified and the location where she lived was found.

A knock at the door yielded no answer.  When a family member arrived they stated that the child’s grandmother identified as Linda Hart was suppose to be watching the child.   When the relative let law-enforcement inside the residence, Hart was found upstairs fast asleep.   When Sheriff Hill asked Hart if she knew where her granddaughter was, Hart paused, look at the Sheriff,  and said she did not know because she was sleeping.

Linda Hart is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail now better known as “The Hill-ton”.
