Advisory

FLOOD WARNING REMAINS for all areas (except the City of Winfield) east of 79 from Foley south to the southernmost section of the levee.

RIVER FORECAST UPDATE:  The latest forecast from the National Weather Service indicates the Mississippi River (at Winfield) will crest just after midnight tomorrow (Friday) night at 35.00 feet.  If that crest holds true it will become the six highest on record, surpassing the 34.92 feet we just experienced on April 2nd.

It's important to remember that the 34.92 feet on April 2nd was enough to overtop the Winfield Main Levee, and right now there is a large section (about 300' long and 8' deep) of that levee that has been breached.

If you live in an area protected by the Winfield Main Levee - pretty much anywhere east of Highway 79 all the way south to the southernmost section of the levee (not including the City of Winfield), we urge you evacuate if you have not already done so.
