* Flood Warning for... Clinton County in south central Illinois... Bond County in south central Illinois... Madison County in southwestern Illinois... Marion County in south central Illinois... Fayette County in south central Illinois...
* Until 100 PM CDT.
* At 706 AM CDT, automated stream gauges are reporting rising water levels near or above flood stage.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Granite City, Alton, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Godfrey, Centralia, Glen Carbon, Wood River, Highland, Troy, Bethalto, Maryville, Salem, Vandalia, Greenville, Pontoon Beach, Breese, Madison, New Baden and Carlyle. This also includes Carlyle Lake Recreational Area and Horseshoe Lake State Park. County and state roads that are prone to flooding by creeks and streams will likely be innundated. Use caution when driving in these areas and be prepared to stop and find alternate routes if you encounter flood waters.
