* Until 445 AM CDT.
* At 146 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated torrential rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to one and a half inches of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Pontiac, Manteno, Watseka, Paxton, Fairbury, Gibson City, Momence, Piper City, Stockland, Claytonville, Gilman, Herscher, Clifton, Gridley, Onarga, Grant Park and Milford.
* AFFECTED AREAS: FORD, IL ... IROQUOIS, IL ... KANKAKEE, IL ... LIVINGSTON, IL
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
