On 05-21-19 at about 3:30pm, Janesville Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Hyacinth Ave. for an armed robbery complaint. A male victim reported getting into the back seat of a friend’s vehicle. The driver and passenger of the vehicle both displayed handguns and told the male victim to empty his pockets. The male victim gave the suspects all his cash and was told to get out of the vehicle. The male victim ran back to his residence and called police.

Janesville Officers were able to identify a suspect and this information was given to the City of Beloit Police Department. Patrol officers later located the suspect and suspect vehicle at 1423 Harvey Street where the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Beloit Officers, Beloit Police Department Violent Crime Interdiction Team, Janesville Officers and the Janesville Street Crimes Unit worked in cooperation with drafting and executing a search warrant at the residence.

As a result, officers confiscated a stolen firearm, $121.50 in U.S. Currency, 62 grams of marijuana, twelve 9mm rounds, 16 Dank Vape cartridges (90%THC) and miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia. The firearm was reported stolen out of Coloma, Wisconsin on August, 5th, 2017.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was identified as Jaden C. Fair. Fair was later arrested for Armed Robbery by Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC within 1000 of Certain Places, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Receiving Stolen Property.

The second suspect has not been identified yet but is described as an African American male with dark complexion, about 20 years of age with short curly hair. Officers are continuing with the investigation.
