PUBLIC STORM SHELTER AVAILABLE: At 5:15 PM we will open the Hungate Performing Arts Center (1190 Old Cap au Gris Road in Troy, right next door to Troy Buchanan High School) as a public storm shelter. The facility will remain active until the threat of severe weather has passed, which should not be long.
Reports from southwest Missouri indicate the inbound weather system has a history of damaging winds (blowing off roofs, snapping trees, etc.). There are no active severe weather warnings presently in Lincoln County.
If you do not have adequate shelter where you are, and believe you need to take shelter from the approaching storms, please proceed immediately.
