Location: 700 Block of East Washington Street
Suspect(s): Pamela Long, 63-year-old Petaluma resident
Petaluma PD officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Washington Street for a vehicle collision. A vehicle driven by Pamela Long rear-ended another vehicle, and witnesses described smelling an odor of alcohol from her. At one point, she attempted to walk away, forcing witnesses to confiscate her keys and make her stay on scene.
Officers arrived and called for Petaluma FD paramedics after a juvenile occupant in the vehicle hit by Long had a complaint of pain. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
Officers initiated a DUI investigation and determined Long had been drinking prior to the collision. She was also found to be on probation following a prior DUI conviction. Her blood alcohol level was just over the legal California limit of .08%. She was arrested pursuant to DUI causing injury and violation of DUI probation and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
