Newark Firefighters Extinguish 2-Alarm Fire at 100-Block of Third Avenue 
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that members of the Newark Fire Division have extinguished a 2-alarm fire in a vacant building in the 100-block of Third Avenue.
Shortly before 12:20 p.m. today, firefighters responded to the fire, near Summer Avenue and Broadway. No injuries have been reported.
The fire was considered under control at 12:48 p.m.
The cause and origin of this fire is under investigation by members of the Newark Fire Division’s Arson Unit.
