Weather incident update: Lines & debris in roadways, streets flooded. Avoid travel. See full alert 4 additional info.

The San Angelo Police Department and Fire Department are urging citizens to stay off the roads due to power lines down, debris in roadways,  and flooded streets. Please share the following information with friends and family:

-Bradford Elementary School, 2302 Bradford Street, has been opened as an amergency shelter.

-Do not call 9-1-1 to report power outages or wind damage. Please keep emergency lines open for true emergencies. Report power outages to AEP. They are aware of the issues and they are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

-Avoid travel. Street travel is discouraged due to dangerous debris. Please stay off the roadways if possible. First responders are urging citizens to stay home.
