The City of Hoboken would like to advise all residents to keep their windows closed as a precautionary measure resulting from a fire early this evening at a chlorine chemical factory on 55 Jacobus Avenue in Kearny, located under the Pulaski Skyway. Due to smoke conditions and potential chemical vapors, residents are advised to keep their windows closed and avoid the areas surrounding the Pulaski Skyway. The Pulaski Skyway is currently closed for travel in both directions due to dangerous smoke conditions.
