SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WEST CENTRAL CALHOUN AND
NORTHEASTERN ST. CLAIR COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM CDT...

At 415 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ashville, or 11 miles southwest of Rainbow City, moving southeast at
5 mph.

Dime size hail and winds up to 40 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Ashville, Ragland, Ohatchee, Neely Henry Lake and Neely Henry Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
