Lt. Chris Taylor of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Amanda Sue Murphy-South, 40, address listed as Sugar Hill Road in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine.
                Taylor assisted state probation and parole officers with a search of Murphy-South’s residence on Friday, April 26, where authorities uncovered .5 gram of meth.
                Murphy-South is on probation, which subjects her to warrantless searches.
                Also assisting were agents with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation.
