Two suspects are arrested following a traffic stop and a search of their vehicle

INCIDENT: PC 11359 - Marijuana for Sale
LOCATION: 2400 block of Paseo Del Palacio, Chino Hills
SUSPECTS: Carlos Manuel Rivera, 27 years old, of Fontana, and Oscar Roberto Martinez. 32 years old, of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Friday, May 10, 2019, at approximately 1:39 pm, Deputy R. Sanchez conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a white Mercedes in the 2400 block of Paseo Del Palacio, Chino Hills. The driver, identified as Carlos M. Rivera and his passenger, identified as Oscar R. Martinez, were both detained. Upon conducting a records check, deputies discovered Rivera and Martinez both had outstanding arrest warrants. During the search the vehicle, deputies discovered approximately 80 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of cash. Rivera was arrested for Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and for his warrant. Martinez was arrested for his warrant. Both were booked into West Valley Detention Center.
