Help shape Santa Ana's future by participating in the General Plan Update: Golden City BEYOND, through completing the General Plan Land Use Community Survey!
The Survey is one of the ongoing opportunities to engage in the conversation and help to plan for Santa Ana's future. The New General Plan will create the policy foundation to guide the growth of and preserve the quality of life in Santa Ana.
As part of that General Plan update, the City has identified five key areas for potential urban and transit oriented development opportunities to encourage pedestrian , bicycle, and transit travel to improve air quality. These areas could allow a mixture of uses including new housing, community-serving commercial, and employment areas accessible to all residents.
The General Plan Vision, as well as Core Values (Sustainability, Health, Equity, Culture, and Education), were established based on Santa Ana community engagement efforts (https://www.ci.santa-ana.ca.us/sites /default/files/Documents/GPAG.Summary.ADialogueofCommunity.7.2018.pdf). To ensure that the areas and land use concepts are considered for future studies reflect the Vision and Core Values, all are encouraged to complete the Community Land Use Survey and provide valuable feedback.
These efforts will ultimately lead to an updated Land Use Plan to be adopted into Santa Ana's General Plan Update.
