04/02/2019 *Assault Investigation
8600 Block of Main Street – An employee reported that she was injured when another employee moved her chair. The employee feels the incident may have been purposeful. The case remains under investigation.

04/04/2019 *Attempt B & E of Shed
7400 Block of Kearney – A homeowner reported that sometime between April 1 at 10pm and April 4 at 5:30 pm some unknowns subject attempted to break into the homeowners shed. Entry was not gained and no property was taken. No witnesses or suspects were identified.

04/09/2019 *Suspicious Situation –Caller being followed
7000 Block of Northline – A caller stated that an unfamiliar 2004 Toyota Camry bearing a New York plate had followed him to his residence. After sitting in the callers driveway for a limited time, the vehicle left in an unknown direction. No contact was made by the driver, and the case remains under investigation.

4/10/2019 *Arrest – Fugitive Warrant
Main & Shady Beach – An officer on patrol observed a subject matching the description of a suspicious person who had been in the area of the high school. Upon investigation of the subject, it was determined the subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and turned over the agency holding the warrant.

04/11/2019 *Credit Card Fraud
300 Block of Beachway – A victim stated that upon receipt of her credit card statement she discovered several transactions which she neither made, nor authorized. A dispute was filed with her credit agency and the case documented with a police report. Northfield Police remind all to closely monitor their credit and debit transactions.

04/15/2019 *Retail Fraud
300 Block of 6 Mile Rd – Speedway Gas Station – A subject, described as a black male wearing dark colored pants, shirt and cap entered the gas station, selected several miscellaneous food items and requested a carton of cigarettes. The subject then asked for a 2nd carton of cigarettes; but did not wait for them, and instead left the store without paying for any of the items. The subject left driving a silver passenger vehicle. Video footage was captured and the case remains under investigation.

04/18/2019 *Arrest- Fugitive Warrant
Westbrook Apartments –Officers responded to a call of a suspicious female in the parking lot. Officers located the female and the investigation revealed that the subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested, and turned over to the jurisdiction holding the warrant. During the search of the subject, officers discovered narcotic paraphernalia. The subject was further cited for Possession of the Narcotic Paraphernalia.

04/18/2019 *Hit & Run
North Territorial & U.S. 23–The complainant stated that at approximately 9:00 pm while he was driving through the roundabout, his Black Chevy Cruz was struck on the driver’s side by an unknown vehicle. If anyone was in the area and witnessed this incident, please contact the Northfield Twp Police.

04/21/19 *Breaking and Entering of Garage
7100 Block of Spencer – The homeowner reported that sometime between 10pm on 04/20/19 and 3 am on 04/21/19 someone entered his garage and took an air compressor, floor jack, power tools and his Honda TRX450 ATV. Evidence was collected at the scene and the case remains under investigation.

04/21/19 *Arrest- Friend of the Court Warrant
100 Block of Emerald Circle-Officers responded to a complaint of disorderly persons. When officers arrived they encountered one subject involved in the incident. Through the investigation, it was determined that the subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and turned over to the jurisdiction holding the warrant.
