Weekend Traffic Advisory: The 97th Annual May Fête Parade is this Saturday, and there will be several road closures as a result. If you need to come downtown on Saturday morning, please plan accordingly.
Beginning at 6 a.m. and lasting until about noon on May 4, University Avenue will be closed between High Street and Cowper Street, and Waverley Street will be closed between University Avenue and Homer Avenue. The parade itself begins at 10 a.m.
Also, there will be road closures in the area of Heritage Park at 300 Homer Avenue until about 3:30 p.m. At the park after the parade, there will be an array of free activities for kids, a performance stage with local groups, and tons of great food!
