Daniel Gomez of Chino Hills is arrested for the continuous sexual abuse of a minor

SUMMARY:
On May 2, 2019, deputies and detectives from the Chino Hills Police Department were notified of a victim of sexual abuse. Investigators identified the victim’s relative, Daniel Gomez, as the suspect. Gomez is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction for lewd and lascivious acts with a child.
Evidence obtained led investigators to believe numerous acts of sexual abuse occurred over an extended period. A warrant was issued for Gomez’s arrest and he was arrested at his home without incident.
Gomez is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $350,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.
