***SUBJECTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED*** The Rutherford County Animal Control Services and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the below suspects in connection with Abandonment of Animals. On April 24, 2019 at 1609 hrs an unknown male and a female subject came by the Rutherford County Animal Shelter seeking to surrender two American Staffordshire puppies. The suspects were told that the Animal Shelter was closed and that they would have to make an appointment to surrender the dogs. The suspects also received contact information for rescue groups in the area that could assist them prior to their appointment. Approximately 30 minutes later the two dogs came wandering up to the shelter from Laurel Hill Drive where the owners had sat them out.
