Two vehicle injury crash M-60/Gards Prairie, Penn Twp





Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that the Sheriffs Office investigated a two car crash on Monday, April 29th at 1341 hrs.

This crash was on M-60 near Gards Prairie Rd, Penn Twp, Cass County, Michigan.

Initial investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Charles Sampson, 46 yrs, of Cassopolis,

was traveling east on M-60 when he lost control and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

The second vehicle involved was driven by Cynthia Broekhuizen, 45 yrs, of Gobles, Mi.

Broekhuizen tried to avoid the crash without success.


Both parties were extricated from their vehicles by rescue personnel and transported to hospitals for their injuries.

Seat belts and airbags were used/deployed in the crash. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor.

Penn Twp Fire/Rescue, Life Care Ambulance and Pride Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation at this time.
