DETAILS:  Ptl. Hojnacki investigated a theft from a motor vehicle where the following was reported: While the victim’s vehicle was parked overnight in her driveway, someone entered the unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet which had been in the center console.

DETAILS:  Ptl. E. McQuade investigated a theft from Chuck E. Cheese where the following was reported: The victim was paying her bill at the register and removed her wallet from her purse. After paying, she placed her wallet into an open pocket in her purse and positioned the purse behind her back. She was distracted by the cashier and she believes that during this time, someone reached into her purse and stole her wallet.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Nagy investigated the theft of a wallet where the following was reported: The victim had lunch at Panera Bread and then went to Wegmans to shop. When she went to pay for her groceries, she realized her wallet was missing. When the victim contacted her credit card companies to cancel her credit cards, she discovered that over $3,100.00 in purchases had already been made at Best Buy, Game Stop, and Macy’s.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Brodowski investigated a theft from Walmart where the following was reported: The victim recalled shopping at Walmart and last using her purse at the self-checkout. A short time after leaving, she realized her purse was missing. She believed that she either left her purse at the self-checkout or in her shopping cart after she unloaded her purchases into her car. She went back to Walmart but her purse was gone.

Arrested: Mustafa Karamuk, Asian male, 28 years old
                Resident of West Windsor, NJ 08550

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni was on a neighborhood burglary suppression detail in an unmarked car when her attention was drawn to a red Ford sedan that failed to utilize its turn signal when making a right turn. The vehicle in question was registered out of Fairview, NJ and driving in a residential area. Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on the vehicle to investigate further. During the stop, Mustafa Karamu, who was getting a ride home, was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, packages of rolling papers, and a metal grinder with marijuana residue. Karamu was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Accused: Christina Mazzilli, White female, 48 years old
                Resident of Bordentown, NJ 08505

DETAILS:  Ptl. Nagy investigated a shoplifting from Target where the following occurred: A White female went to the self-checkout registers where she scanned and bagged $452.31 worth of store merchandise. The woman then inserted a Target credit card (issued to Christina Mazzilli) to pay, but the card was declined. The woman then left the store with a cart full of merchandise that was not paid for. Detective C. Van Ness investigated this shoplifting and determined that the shoplifter and Target credit cardholder were one in the same person. Mazzilli was charged with Shoplifting and has a date pending at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Silcox initiated a stop on a blue VW sedan for speeding and having tinted front windows. During the stop, Christopher Middleton was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. Middleton was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court

DETAILS:  Ptl. Fiore was detailed to the Target store for a shoplifting suspect being detained by store Assets Protection. Investigation determined the following: Sheena Nelson selected store merchandise and clothing, and went to the self-checkout. While there, she utilized a bar code label for an item valued at $2.59 and passed it over the scanner multiple times to pay less than the retail value of each item. Nelson then paid $36.16 for over $200 worth of merchandise. Nelson was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Heath investigated the theft of tools from a garage where the following was reported: Between March 30th and April 8th, someone entered the victim’s garage and stole approximately $2,000.00 worth of power tools that had been hanging on the wall. There were no signs of forced entry into the garage.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the Staples store for a robbery. Investigation determined the following: Justin Wood selected a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set valued at $115.99 and went into the bathroom carrying the box with him. When he left the bathroom, he was no longer holding the box, and the box was found empty. The store manager observed that Wood had partially concealed the keyboard under his clothing and approached him. Wood was not cooperative and when the manager went to recover the keyboard, Wood sprayed him in the face with hot pepper spray and ran from the scene. Ptl. Fiore observed an individual fitting the description of the suspect seated in the Wendy’s restaurant. As officers approached, Wood went to the back of the restaurant and was found hiding in a walk-in freezer. He was still in possession of the canister of pepper spray. Wood was processed at WWPD Headquarters and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Crawford initiated a stop on a white 2016 Honda for erratic driving including failing to maintain its lane of travel and sudden braking. During the stop, Leah Vazquez was determined to be DWI. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.
