VEHICLE BREAK-INS AND THEFTS 
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a nine vehicle break ins and the theft of four motor vehicles that were stolen overnight in Jerome Township. The neighborhoods where the thefts occurred are Jerome Village and New California Hills and Woods. Items stolen include computers, sunglasses, wallets, credit cards, and backpacks. Almost all of the vehicles that were entered were left unlocked and ignition keys were left in several of the stolen vehicles. The Sheriff’s Office is reviewing video footage of persons of interest and working with Columbus area law enforcement agencies. The Sheriff’s Office urges all Union County residents to lock your vehicles when you are not using them and to remove all keys and valuables.
