Deputies from the Sheriff's Rural Crime Task Force arrest two suspects for the theft of a car hauling trailer

SUSPECTS: Edward Filley 36 years old, resident of Rialto.
Jeannette Shnyder, 46 years old, resident of Hesperia.
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, deputies from the Sheriff’s Rural Crime Task Force responded to the report of a stolen trailer which had been rented from Apex Rentals in Hesperia. Through their investigation, Deputies Rob Oakleaf and Randy Stanley identified Edward Filley as a possible suspect of the theft.
On Thursday, April 11, 2019, the stolen car hauling trailer was recovered in Lake Isabella, CA. The person who unknowingly purchased the trailer attempted to have it registered at a local DMV where it was flagged as stolen. This victim of fraud was able to positively identify Edward Filley and Jeannette Shnyder as the suspects who sold him the stolen trailer.
On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Deputies Oakleaf and Stanley located Filley and Shnyder in Hesperia where they were arrested for the theft of the trailer and falsification of government documents.
