The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Denton County in north central Texas... Southern Collin County in north central Texas... Northern Dallas County in north central Texas...

* Until 200 AM CDT..

* At 1056 PM CDT, emergency management officials reported ongoing urban water rescues in Carrollton. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen over the last hour. Flash flooding is ongoing. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: DENTON, TX ... COLLIN, TX ... DALLAS, TX

Instructions:

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
