ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS:  Vasquez was held pending arraignment in Amsterdam City Court. 
 
INCIDENT NARRATIVE:  On April 16th, 2019 at approximately 5:30am, members of the Amsterdam Police Department/ Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Regional SWAT Team executed a search warrant signed by Amsterdam City Court Judge Lisa Lorman at 68 Elizabeth Street Apt. 2 in the City of Amsterdam.  The search warrant stemmed from a 2 month long investigation by the Amsterdam Police Detective Bureau and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team into the sales of crack cocaine out of the Elizabeth Street apartment. Upon executing the warrant, the target of the investigation, Robin J. Vasquez was located inside of the apartment and taken into custody.  Amsterdam Police Detectives then searched the apartment with the assistance of APD K-9 Bruno. K-9 Bruno alerted detectives to several areas inside the apartment where detectives subsequently located a half ounce of crack cocaine, a small amount of marihuana, along with cash.  Vasquez was transported to Amsterdam Police HQ’s where he was processed on the above charges and held pending arraignment in city court. Montgomery County District Attorney Kelli McCoski also assisted in the investigation.
