Caltrans has scheduled a full freeway closure on Sunday, April 21 along northbound and southbound Interstate 680 (I-680) in Fremont before the Sheridan Overcrossing. Caltrans contractors will demolish the old Sheridan Overcrossing.
The closures are as follows:
- Sunday, April 21, 2019 12:30 AM to 8:30 AM northbound and southbound I-680 before the Sheridan Overcrossing
- Southbound traffic will be detoured from the Andrade off-ramp to Mission Road to southbound I-680
- Northbound traffic will be detoured to the Sheridan off-ramp to Mission Road to northbound I-680
Motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to take alternate routes if necessary and that traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.
