Today, around 3:15 PM, an East Bay Regional Park District Police Department Motorcycle officer was involved in a collision on Interstate 880 near Alvarado Niles. The officer was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries and is currently receiving treatment. We’d like to thank the numerous other Public Safety agencies who responded to the scene or have reached out checking the welfare of the officer.
The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol and all inquiries regarding the collision are being referred to them.
