Turlock Police Detectives have arrested Damon Witt, a forty-eight year old male from Turlock, for possession of child pornography. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on a single charge of possession of child pornography. Following a Tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Turlock Police Detectives served a search warrant in the 900 block of W. Tuolumne Rd, where several electronic devices were seized. After conducting a forensic examination of the devices, Detectives arrested Mr. Witt. Mr. Witt did not manufacture the images he possessed. Rather they were images which have been circulating on the internet for sometime and are well known to law enforcement nationwide.

During our investigation, Turlock Detectives were made aware that Mr. Witt has been employed as a substitute teacher in and around Stanislaus County area schools. Due to Mr. Witt’s access to children through his employment, Turlock Detectives are asking anyone who may have further information about Mr. Witt to contact Detective Tim Redd at (209) 664-7325.

We will always investigate and arrest anyone found to be in possession of images which exploit children. Turlock Police work hard every day to ensure that the children of this community are safe. We will continue to work with agencies nationwide to achieve this goal and hold those who take advantage of children accountable,” said Turlock Police Chief Nino Amirfar.
