Bell Middle School Lockdown 
On Friday, April 12, 2019, at approximately 12:25 p.m., The New Castle Police Department was notified by Chappaqua Central School District Administration that a student reported seeing a man in the school with a gun.
As per the District policy, Bell Middle School was put in lockdown.
New Castle Police Officers responded and thoroughly searched the interior and exterior of the building. The search was negative for anyone matching the description provided by the student or anyone that was not authorized to be in the school.
After the building was cleared, the lockdown was lifted and normal school activities resumed.
