April is National Volunteer Recognition month.  During this time, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department honors and recognizes our Department Volunteers for their outstanding service they provide for our Department and the Community.  This year we are honored to present the Volunteer of the Year award to our very own Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station Volunteer Lynda Woodstra.　 Volunteer Woodstra devotes numerous hours to the Walnut Diamond Bar Station and community doing various duties such as event planning, fundraising, assisting with projects at the station, processing vacation patrol and fumigation patrol requests, assisting station personnel and Department of Children’s Services with the overseeing and care of infants and juveniles when the parents are taken into custody.  We thank you Volunteer Woodstra for your tireless efforts to make our station and our community a better place.  Congratulations Volunteer Woodstra !!!
