The Pomona Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision at Garey and LaVerne, to the front of school. 
The Pomona Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on LaVerne Ave west of Garey Ave, in the City of Pomona. The vehicle collided with a pole which was dislodged. There may also be downed power lines. We are encouraging everyone to avoid the area while this investigation takes place.
The accident occurred to the front of LaVerne Science and Tech Center (formerly Yorba Elementary). The school will not be open until the investigation is complete. An update will be sent out once the investigation is complete and the roadway is opened.
