Winter Weather Advisory until 01:00PM Thursday
A band of snow continues to move north and east this afternoon, with a wintry mix in some spots. Accumulations from southeast Minnesota into far western Wisconsin have generally been between 2 and 5 inches. The snow will continue to spread across the Interstate 94 corridor through late afternoon with an inch or two of accumulation possible, mainly on grassy areas. Additional mixed precipitation or snow is expected tonight into Thursday morning, with 6 to 10 inches expected in Clark and Taylor Counties, and 1 to 5 inches near and north of the Interstate 90 corridor. Ice accumulations of 1/10 to 2/10 of an inch could also occur, especially on elevated surfaces. Difficult to hazardous travel conditions can be expected. Gusty east winds up 45 mph may lead to isolated power outages or bring down small branches..
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches south of Interstate 90 and 2 to 5 inches north of Interstate 90 and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch expected. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
