VICTIM: 76 Gas Station, Holt/Palomares, Pomona, Ca.
SUSPECT: Joseph Sanabria, 39 years old, Pomona resident
UNIT: Patrol Division
NARRATIVE:
On today's date, Pomona Police received a call from the 76 gas station that an armed robbery just occurred at their location. Responding officers responded and conducted their robbery investigation. They recognized the robbery suspect from the location's video based on prior contacts.
An investigating officer located the suspect a short time later in the area and the suspect fled from the officer. He attempted to jump walls of a car dealership in the area but a perimeter was immediately setup by responding officers and the Ontario Air Unit.
After numerous K9 announcements were given, K9 "TIBO" began to search the used car lot where the suspect was last seen. The Pomona Police unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was also utilized as part of the search.
A short time later, K9 "TIBO" located the armed robbery suspect hiding under a pickup truck to the rear of the used car lot. Sanabria was identified as the robbery suspect a short time later.
Suspect Sanabria was taken into custody and booked on several charges, including armed robbery.
