Parolee arrested with narcotics and a firearm
On the above date and time, a PPD K-9 Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation, in the 300 block of South McDowell Blvd. The officer contacted the driver and determined he was on current parole out of Oregon. The officer then conducted a search of him and located a small amount of methamphetamine in his pants pocket. A further search of the vehicle was conducted and the officer located an unloaded handgun and a box of ammunition in a duffle bag on the passenger seat. The driver, Danny Saunders was arrested and transported to PPD for booking. Saunders was arrested for possession of narcotics, felon in possession of a firearm and other parole violations. He was later transported to Sonoma County Jail.
