Deputies are actively searching for two robbery suspects after they robbed & assaulted a local computer hobbyist

DATE/TIME: Monday April 1, 2019

INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery

LOCATION: 34400 block of Yucaipa Blvd.

SUSPECT(S): Mark Khaleel Kilby, 24 years old, resident of San Juan Capistrano or Laguna Beach
Elisabeth Henery, 24 years old, resident of San Juan Capistrano or Laguna Beach

VICTIM: Dustin Fritzsche, 25 years old, resident of Yucaipa

SUMMARY:
Dustin Fritzsche is a hobbyist who buys and sells computers and parts online. He is not an employee of Step Ahead Computers, but works on computers there and is allowed to meet his buyers in the store. Mark Kilby previously purchased computer parts from the victim after meeting online. Kilby recently re-contacted Fritzsche to inquire about purchasing a video gaming computer tower. They agreed on $3,300 for the tower, and Kilby said he would send his girlfriend, Elisabeth Henery, to pick up the computer.

On April 1st, Henery met the victim at Step Ahead and asked to see the graphics card inside the computer. Fritzsche opened the tower to show her the card, and she asked that he remove it so she could send a picture to Kilby. Henery asked to step outside to take the photo. Fritzsche feared she might steal the card, which was valued at $700, so he followed her outside.

As Fritzsche stepped out the door, he was immediately confronted by Kilby, who grabbed him by the throat and began striking him with fists and an unknown object. Kilby then ran. Fritzsche chased Kilby across Yucaipa Blvd, while Henery ran east toward 4th Street. Kilby circled through the area, then ran off eastbound to a vehicle, where Henery was waiting. Fritzsche suffered minor injuries during the assault.

Witnesses recorded Kilby as he ran through the area, then followed the suspects as they fled in their vehicle. The witnesses provided a license plate to deputies. Deputies obtained a photograph of the suspect’s vehicle, a black Scion FRS sports car with California plate 7ARP381. Investigation showed the suspects frequent the Laguna Beach area and have ties to the San Juan Capistrano area. It is not known what ties the suspects have to Yucaipa.

Deputy Coillot obtained arrest warrants for Kilby and Henery, with bail set at $250,000 each, and deputies are actively looking for the suspects.
