Pomona Police Officer saves Choking Infant

DATE/TIME:  Saturday March 30th, 2019 @ 8:00 pm

LOCATION: 1147 W. Holt Ave.

VICTIM:  1 year old female

A call was received by the Pomona Police Department from an hysterical father regarding his 1 year old child choking and not breathing.  Officer Jeremy Hunt was seconds away when the call was broadcasted and immediately responded.  When Officer Hunt arrived the family and several nearby residents were to the front with the mother and father who were holding the infant in their arms.  Officer Hunt, observing the mother's emotional state, immediately retrieved the child, turned her on her stomach and administered several back strikes.  The item was dislodged from the child's throat allowing her to regain her breath.

Los Angeles County Paramedics responded and immediately transported the child to the hospital where she was listed in good condition.
