The Town of Danville is beginning several projects over the five days which will have some affect on Danville traffic.  The list of projects is below. Motorists are asked to use caution through the work zones and keep an eye on the roads and use additional caution in the work area.
 

3/28 – El Cerro Paving Work.  Crews are finishing off paving work that was delayed due to rain.  The work is occurring on El Cerro Boulevard from El Pintado to Diablo Road in both directions.  Work hours will be from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and is expected to be completed by Wednesday. 

3/30 – Electrical Work taking place downtown. Primary work area will be Railroad Ave.  Work will take place between 7am- 5:00pm.  No effect on streets expected. 

4/1 – Slope repair begins on Front St.  Front St will have one way traffic southbound from Rose St to Diablo Rd. No northbound traffic will be allowed, and parking in the work area will not be allowed. Employees along the work zone will still have access and customers will be able to get to businesses.  In lieu of Front St parking, customers are encouraged to park at the Rose St Parking Lot.  There will be crews assisting with traffic control.  This closure will last the duration of the project, expected to be two months.  Working hours will be 7:00 am – 3:30 p. 

4/2 – Tree trimming on Diablo Rd.  Diablo Road will be closed in both directions from Alamatos Dr and Alamatos Dr for trimming of a large oak tree near the roadway.  Work hours will be 9:30 am – 2:30 pm.  Traffic crews will be on scene to help vehicle detour around. Westbound vehicles will need to deterour via Alamatos Dr and Amigo Road and back to Alamatos Dr.  Eastbound vehicles may do that same loop or can use Via Hermosa and El Rincon as a bypass.
