Work is underway on Phase II of the Beach Revetment Repair and Rehabilitation Project.
The construction activities occurring this week east of Beachview Road, between Oceanview Beach Park and the intersection of Captain Wylly Road, are associated with this project. A construction equipment access route to the beach is being built from Oceanview Beach Park to the beach crossover at King Avenue.
Be advised, beginning Monday, April 1, heavy equipment will be crossing over the beachfront bike/pedestrian pathway and work will begin along the upper part of the beach in this zone. Users should treat the construction road crossing as any road cross-walk – stop and look both ways before crossing. Signage on the pathway will also be installed.
