The police department would like to remind everyone that there is no parking on Washington Street. Of particular concern, is excessive parking in the 100 block of East Washington, at the coffee shop. Despite curbing being painted yellow and additional No Parking signs having been installed we continue to observe, and receive complaints about, vehicles in violation. Since last summer we have asked many people to kindly move their vehicles. We really do not want to issue parking tickets, so help us spread the word to please utilize any available parking spots at the business or use available side street parking. We want folks to patronize our local businesses, (after all, cops love coffee too!) but ask everyone to adhere to the parking restrictions.
