On March 26, 2019, at 1:23 p.m. Sgt. Bruce L. Vanoven conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2008 Ford Focus for having improper registration on the vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Vanoven identified the driver as 24 year old Jackie Osborne of Evansville, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Sgt. Vanoven discovered that the plates on the Silver passenger actually went to a 2009 Chevy Malibu. Further upon running Ms. Osborne through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Sgt. Vanoven discovered that Ms. Osborne`s operator license status was listed as SUSPENDED-Prior. At that point Sgt. Vanoven placed Ms. Osborne into custody and prepared to inventory the vehicle. During a routine vehicle inventory before the vehicle was towed Sgt. Vanoven discovered Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia inside the vehicle. At the conclusion of his investigation Sgt. Vanoven transported Ms. Osborne to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Ms. Osborne was also written two citations for Expired Registration and No Insurance. She remains in custody on a $650 bond.
