Alert

Jeremy Harvey, 41, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals in connection to the February burglary of a Hardin County volunteer fire station.

The U.S. Marshals are searching for a Hardin County man identified as a suspect in the theft of emergency equipment from a Hardin County volunteer fire station in early February.

Jeremy Harvey, 41, is wanted in connection with the burglary of the Hookers Bend Volunteer Fire Station, according to a U.S. Marshals press release.
Hardin County firefighters found their emergency equipment at the station was either missing or inoperable while attempting to respond to a house fire on Feb. 5. The thief cut a hole in the building's exterior and took the batteries from the department's tanker along with a chainsaw, forcible entry saw and a portable radio. The stolen items are valued at up to $2,000.

Other units were able to put out the fire, which occurred at the home of another Hardin County firefighter.
U.S. Marshals are offering a cash reward to the public for help in apprehending Harvey, who often frequents Saltillo and Milledgeville in Hardin County and Lexington in Henderson County, according to the release.

Harvey is a 5-foot, 11-inch-tall white male weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and often wears denim overalls.
Anyone with information on Harvey's whereabouts is encouraged to call the U.S. Marshals at 731-427-4661. All calls will be confidential.
