INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: 35000 Block of Avenue E, Yucaipa, California
SUSPECT: Alfonso Pena, 22 years old, resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at approximately 3:23 a.m., Yucaipa Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) personnel assisted San Bernardino County Probation with a residential search. Probation officers contacted Alfonso Pena who is on felony probation for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. During the search, probation officers located a loaded silver/camouflage Ruger .22 caliber rifle. They searched Pena’s backpack and located a plastic baggie with suspected methamphetamine inside. Pena is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess any firearms or have ammunition.
Pena was booked at Central Detention Center for PC 29800(a)(1) -Felon in Possession of a Firearm, H&S 11377 (a)-Possession of Controlled Substances, and PC 1203.2-violation of probation. He is being held without bail.
