Traffic Advisory for the City of Santa Clara – Saturday, March 23
The Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation produces three annual races for local charities and organizations – Applied Material Silicon Valley Turkey Trot, TiVo Santa Run Silicon Valley and Lam Research Heart and Soles.
The Lam Research Heart and Soles Kids Fun Run, 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run will take place on Saturday, March 23. Approximately 2,000 attendees are expected. Registration information is available at http://heartandsoles5k.com
• On March 23, between 7:00am-10:30am, there will be road closures and irregular traffic patterns along the course. The course includes Franklin St between Alviso St and Lafayette St, Lafayette St between Market St and Harrison St, Harrison St between Lafayette St and El Camino Real, Alviso St between Harrison St and De La Cruz Blvd, De La Cruz between Reed St and El Camino, De La Cruz Blvd between Alviso St and Coleman Ave, Coleman Ave between De La Cruz Blvd and Aviation Ave, Lexington St between Lafayette St and Monroe St, Main St around Mission Library, Market St between Lafayette St and The Alameda, The Alameda between Market St and El Camino Real, El Camino Real between The Alameda and Harrison St;
• Neighbors in the course footprint are encouraged to park in your garage, driveway, or in a location that is not along the course route;
• No vehicle access will be permitted on the course during the race;
• The following ramp closures will be in place on March 23 between 7:00-10:30am
Northbound El Camino Real (CA-82) off ramp onto the De la Cruz Blvd overpass; Southbound De la Cruz Blvd ramp to Coleman Ave and ramp continuing onto De la Cruz, Westbound Coleman Ave on ramp to CA-82/De la Cruz Blvd, and Northbound De la Cruz Blvd off ramp to 880/Coleman Ave;
A detour route available via Lafayette St, Reed St, Martin St, and Brokaw Rd.
• Public transportation may be impacted due to road closures;
• Please read the message boards and follow the instructions of police personnel and private security;
• Be observant and monitor your environment. If you notice suspicious objects or observe suspicious behavior, report this information to local law enforcement immediately;
