The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Wayne County in southeastern Michigan...
Southeastern Oakland County in southeastern Michigan...
Macomb County in southeastern Michigan...
Washtenaw County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 857 AM EDT, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Macomb Township to near Livonia to Dexter,
moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Whiteout conditions. Zero visibility in heavy snow and
blowing snow. Wind gusts up to 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

I-75 between mile markers 27 and 73.
I-275 between mile markers 8 and 29.
I-94 between mile markers 5 and 28.
I-96 between mile markers 167 and 192.
M-10 between mile markers 1 and 18.
M-14 between mile markers 1 and 21.
M-39 between mile markers 6 and 10.
M-53 between mile markers 16 and 23.
M-59 between mile markers 46 and 49.
US-23 between mile markers 26 and 51.

This snow squall will be near...
Mount Clemens and Macomb Township around 905 AM EDT.
Detroit Zoo around 910 AM EDT.
Taylor, New Baltimore and Greenfield Village around 915 AM EDT.
Saline, Detroit, Dearborn and Dixboro around 920 AM EDT.
Ypsilanti and Wyandotte around 925 AM EDT.
Downtown Detroit and Belle Isle around 930 AM EDT.
Grosse Pointe, Algonac and Willis around 935 AM EDT.
Belleville around 940 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this snow squall include Anchorville,
Franklin, Melvindale, Gibraltar, Hudson Mills Metropark, Shelby
Township, Ray Center, Utica, Harper Woods and Pleasant Ridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Serious injuries and deaths may result from people exiting their
vehicles during a snow squall. Drivers may not be able to see you or
to stop! If stopped on the roadway or involved in an accident,
quickly exit your vehicle move as far away from the roadway as
possible ONLY when it is safe to do so. Do not stand along or near
the roadway, since approaching vehicles may be unable to maintain
control.
