Child Pornography Arrest 
On March 13, 2019, detectives from the El Cerrito Police Department arrested forty-one-year-old Richmond resident Christopher Silva for soliciting, and being in possession of, child pornography. Silva, an English teacher at El Cerrito High School, was arrested at his residence and was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. Formal charges from the District Attorney’s Office are pending further investigation. The West Contra Costa Unified School District is aware of the investigation and is cooperating with detectives. The ECPD is asking anyone with information about Silva to contact detectives at the number listed below.
