Malibu Gran Fondo bike race passing through Malibu Fri & Sat, March 15-16 
Caltrans issued permits for the Malibu Gran Fondo bicycle road race to pass through Malibu along PCH on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16. There are no scheduled stops within the Malibu city limits and no lane closures required. CHP will provide traffic control.
The race route starts in Westlake Village at 8:00 AM on Friday, and 8:30 AM on Saturday. Cyclists in one stage of the event will enter PCH at Pt. Mugu (Ventura County) and travel along PCH through Malibu to Latigo Cyn Rd. Cyclists will then turn onto Latigo Cyn Rd from PCH to Kanan Dume Rd., along parts of Kanan Dume Rd and parts of Mulholland Hwy.
Cyclists in another stage of the race will travel south on Topanga Cyn to PCH, then travel west along PCH toward the Civic Center area. Participants will turn onto Webb Way, then Civic Center Way to Malibu Cyn Rd, before heading north on Malibu Cyn Rd.
A third stage of the event on Sunday, March 17, does not enter the Malibu city limits.
Motorists are advised to be aware of cyclists and expect some delays.
