Winter Storm Warning until 06:00AM Thursday

Snow is expected to continue to gradually decrease in intensity overall, but periods of light to moderate snow are still forecast to persist, especially over the higher mountain peaks through the evening. Most areas will observe a diminishing of snow through the late evening, however periods of light to moderate snow will continue over the Sangre de Cristo mountains through Thursday.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...West Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WEST SLOPES SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS
