Harper Woods DPS officers are investigating shots fired in the 21300 block of Bournemouth
At approximately 2:55 pm this afternoon, HWDPS officers responded to the 21300 block of Bournemouth on a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers were able to locate a victim involved in the incident. Officers began an investigation and were informed that a gray newer model SUV occupied by two black males was involved. Officers received information that the victim was walking east on Bournemouth when the suspect vehicle pulled alongside him. The passenger pointed a handgun at the victim, and the victim ran behind a garbage dumpster. The suspect then fired several shots at the victim striking the garbage dumpster twice. The suspect vehicle then fled the location at a high rate of speed east toward Mack Ave., unknown from there.
The driver is described as a black male, late 20’s early 30’s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with larger white lettering and black pants
The passenger is described as a black male, late 20’s early 30’s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
The victim, an adult Harper Woods resident, was not injured. There were no other injuries or property damage reported during this incident.
