In a continued effort to improve the traffic flow during school drop off and pick up times, the following change is being made to the new Elementary School drop off route implemented earlier this week. Vehicles exiting the access road onto Johnson Place will be permitted to make a right turn only. Please refer to the updated notice below and the diagram in the attached photo for further details.

Effective Friday, March 8, 2019, students who are driven to the South River Elementary School shall be required to be dropped off utilizing a new route into the rear drop off/pick-up area. Drivers must enter through the entrance to the South River High School and travel north through the parking lot to the rear access road of the South River Elementary School, which leads out to Johnson Place.

Students may be dropped off ONLY once they are directly behind the elementary school. Please pull your vehicles as far up towards the stop sign as possible when dropping off students.

When exiting the access road onto Johnson Place, only a right hand turn is permitted.

In addition, the previously announced temporary change allowing vehicles to make either a left or right turn onto Johnson Place from Montgomery Street at all times will continue.
